As you get to know a cup, does it get to know you?
We learn certain little details, the perfect spot to drink from, how a handle fits, how our hands interact. In some ways they teach us about ourselves.
At the larger scale, the reaction becomes more difficult to describe - visceral, somehow - a physical/primitive/primal? reaction. Reaction - something that just happens, over which we do not have control. And this fascinates me, too. I think by examining our reactions we can learn a lot about ourselves...
